Alison has a background in senior management. She worked for ten years in marketing for companies such as Grand Metropolitan and Associated British Foods. She was Marketing Controller for Burtons Biscuits managing a business unit with a turnover of £90m. Her responsibilities included large scale project management, brand management and strategy, as well as people management. She then spent five years working for a business consultancy, where her client portfolio included major blue chips like PepsiCo and Unilever. More latterly she was in a change management role, outsourcing part of the commercial function to Bangalore.
Alison helps businesses and individuals through coaching and training. Thanks to her pragmatic approach and personal experience of senior management Alison can offer solid, practical advice as well as empathy and inspiration to implement positive change. Her career track record gives credibility at all levels of her clients business.
Alison’s training style is highly interactive and based on her extensive experience of managing and motivating large teams. She believes passionately in good management practice and how by investing in people, it can unlock huge untapped resources and creativity.
Alison also works as an Executive Coach, accredited through the International Coaching Federation. She works with senior leaders on a one to one basis; typical areas of focus are leadership, managing change, first one hundred days, career development and working in depth at a behavioural level to help her clients perform to their highest capacity. Her training is based on NLP and Transactional Analysis.
Alison is a qualified trainer accredited through the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and an accredited coach through the International Coaching Federation. She is also accredited by the British Psychological Society to use personality tests, including MBTI which she uses in her training and coaching.
